Infrastructure
While “infrastructure” is a bit broad of a definition when it comes to IT and computers, it is true that we can cover a large percentage of IT related infrastructural projects. If it is not a server or a workstation, but somehow part of your IT facilities; we call it infrastructure, and list it on this page.
Networking appliances
We can set-up, monitor and maintain your firewalls, switches, routers, print servers, networked printers, wireless access points, ATA boxes and PBX systems. We have experience with Cisco (PIX too), Linksys, Zyxel, Netscreen, Axis, HP, Watchguard appliances – just to mention a few.
Networking software
We can configure various software based solutions to aid your infrastructural needs. There are several proxies, firewalls and routers available for cheap PC hardware using the free Linux or BSD operating systems. We have experience with Squid proxy, IPtables (formerly known as ipchains) based firewalls, SMB (Samba) file and print servers and integrate them into your Intranet. We can also provide on-going monitoring of availability - using monitoring software such as Nagios, and network performance monitoring SNMP with software like MRTG.
VOIP
Voice over IP telephony is a cheap alternative to expensive international and long distance calling. Whether you need a simple VOIP FXO/FXS ATA box without a physical connection to a hard-line to a single provider, or you want a full blown PBX system that facilitates multiple hard-lines and VOIP providers, we can help you. We can also recommend VOIP providers and configure your appliances or Asterisk PBX to work with it. If you know, please let us know the number of lines you need, the appliance(s) you have and the provider you chose. Keep in mind, that in Costa Rica there are some regulations against Voice over IP because if the ICE monopoly, but it is only against VOIP providers operating in the country, and not the end user.

In case you have your on-site IT staff, but want to get advise or just need a third opinion, we can provide a detailed analysis of your network, identify bottlenecks and security problems.
Load testing, stress testing and QA
We can stress test your database, network, network appliances and your web server, and provide analysis. Please tell us what you exactly need to test when contacting us.
Traffic monitoring
When your employees are spending too much time playing on-line and visiting social networking sites you need to know where the traffic goes. But you might need to go a step further and see what goes through your net when there is information leaking out through instant messengers, mails and on-line chat rooms. If it is not encrypted traffic, we can get you transcriptions of chats, passwords, list of servers and services accessed. Your privacy guaranteed. No key-logger needed, we can do it with any old hardware sitting idle in your storage.
Working hours
We understand that your infrastructure is a working environment during the day and we know that we cannot disrupt operations during your peek hours. We can schedule our work for night hours or weekends.
We do not...
We do not repair copier machines, printers, telephones, monitors or any other office appliance or accessory. We do not work on workstations: no virus cleaning, PC maintenance work; physical or software. Of course we can set your PC up with your appliance or service we install for you, and we DO maintenance on PC based servers. If you need a PC technician/repair man we can get you one as well, a technician we work with on an outsourced basis.
We DO NOT scan your competitors' network, and we DO NOT monitor their traffic or probe their security. Before security test or load testing you will have to prove that the network belongs to you and sign a document that you requested the tests.
